New Delhi [India], May 25 (ANI): Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Malook Nagar on Sunday congratulated the NDA government on India becoming the world's fourth-largest economy. He noted that this achievement is historic and a testament to the government's economic policies.
The RLD leader mentioned that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had projected India to reach this stage by 2040. However, under the NDA government's leadership, India has achieved this milestone ahead of schedule, in 2025.
'This month has been historic in both matters - country's financial power and combatting terrorism... While former PM Manmohan Singh stated 2040 in the Parliament for this stage, NDA government touched this target in 2025...,' he said.
NITI Aayog CEO, BVR Subrahmanyam, announced that India has become the world's fourth-largest economy, surpassing Japan, based on data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
According to the IMF's April edition of the World Economic Outlook report, the nominal GDP for fiscal 2026 is expected to reach around USD 4,187.017 billion. This is marginally more than the likely GDP of Japan, which is estimated at USD 4,186.431 billion.
Nagar also highlighted that the month has been significant in combating terrorism. He praised the government's efforts to project India's national consensus and firm stance on combating terrorism in all its forms.
He said that misdeeds of Pakistan would be exposed in front of European countries and Pakistan would be left nowhere.
Malook Nagar said, 'Today group of parliamentarians going abroad are set to visit very important countries. UK and European Union together in itself is a superpower, and every place including US has its origin from there. People of Pakistan live in the UK. People from our country live in huge numbers. An opinion will be built, and all the misdeeds of Pakistan will be exposed. People of entire world will come to know about this and Pakistan will be left nowhere. Pakistan will break into several parts. Pakistan will face famine, and India will emerge will rise swiftly.'
He further said that it has been cleared in front of the world that if innocent Indians would be target of a terror attack then India would hit going inside their house.
Earlier Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, who is a part of a multi-party delegation to European countries, on Sunday called for global accountability and a global alliance against terrorism while highlighting Pakistan's involvement in terror activities.
Speaking with ANI, Priyanka Chaturvedi said, 'There should be a zero tolerance against terrorism and there should also be global accountability and a global alliance against terrorism.'
Slamming Pakistan for being involved in the terror attack, she highlighted that terrorist groups like Al Qaida and Jaish-e-Mohammad originated from the country.
'All roots of terrorism are coming from Pakistan. Pakistan has become a global terror hub. It exports terrorists not just in our country but also in other countries. America or Europe should not forget that Al Qaida, Jaish-e-Mohammad and other terror groups are found there (Pakistan),' she said.
'Those who are empowering Pakistan financially should see where the money is being used... It is time for the entire world to be aware and call Pakistan out for what it is,' she said.
Chaturvedi is part of the delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, which will visit the UK, France, Germany, the EU, Italy and Denmark.
Other members of the delegation include Daggubati Purandeswari (BJP), Ghulam Ali Khatana, Amar Singh (Congress), Samik Bhattacharya (BJP), M J Akbar, and Ambassador Pankaj Saran. (ANI)
