The Houston Texans signed cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., the No. 3 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, to a four-year, $34.7 million deal, multiple outlets reported Friday.
He will receive a signing bonus of $22.39 million.
Stingley played collegiately at LSU and was a first-team All-American in 2019 and 2020. He started 25 games at LSU, and the Tigers were 20-5 with him on the field. They were undefeated in 2019 and won the national championship.
In his LSU career, Stingley had 73 tackles (seven for loss), six interceptions and 21 passes defensed.
